Updates...

Just wanted to give everyone a few updates. I went in last week for my check-up at MD Anderson. Yep...more milkshakes. Everything came back clear! 14 months cancer-free now.

Evan had his Blue & Gold Banquet for cub scouts. He completed everything for his wolf advancement as well as several other achievements. He also got a trophy for the most colorful cake. Yea!! It auctioned for $28.

I've been looking around for the last few months for an outdoor slide for Grace. I was hoping to find one used instead of having to pay full price. I lucked out! I found one today that is in excellent condition...was only used indoors. She loves it so far!

Pizza Cake

One of the events for Evan's blue and gold banquet for cub scouts was to make a cake. They judge them on different categories, Evan gets a patch and then they auction them off to raise money for the pack. We made a pizza cake. Everything on it is candy/sweet. Had to share some pictures of it. We'll let you know later how the judging goes. Enjoy.....

Evan Lost His Marble...I Mean Molar

Evan lost his first molar yesterday. It was actually really loose on Wednesday night, but we decided to leave it alone so that he would be able to pull it out at school the next day. His teacher has a really cute little tooth necklace that holds your actual tooth inside of it that she gives you when your tooth comes out at school. The tooth fairy brought Evan a very generous $5 last night.

Sesame Street & Remote Control Trucks

Let me first say that Grace is a definite Sesame Street fan. Her favorite is Melmo (Elmo) and A B (Abby Cadabby) is a close second. Amy, Gage, Nana, Grace and I went to see Sesame Street Live on Sunday afternoon. Both kids loved it. Grace, however, cried REAL tears EVERY time Elmo went off the stage -- Asking "Where Melmo? Where Melmo?" Anyway ... we had a good time.

While Grace and I were at Sesame Street, Jeremy and Evan spent some quality time together--spending money that is. They went and bought a new remote control truck.

A few words from Grace....

It's been a while so I thought I'd share a short clip of Grace talking. She actually talks A LOT. We understand quite a bit of what she says, but of course there's a lot of rambling mumbo jumbo too. Oh, and she's wearing Evan's underwear inside out and backwards. Don't worry -- they're clean! Enjoy!

Happy Anniversary!

Today, February 4th, 2009 Jeremy and I are celebrating our 3rd anniversary. He sent me a very pretty arrangement of red roses and pink tulips (my favorite!) with a happy anniversary balloon attached. Grace has tried many times to confiscate the balloon. We're actually going to celebrate Friday night -- just the two of us...yea!

Busy as Always

We've been busy as always. Evan had baseball try-outs on Saturday. We should be finding out pretty soon what team he'll be on. Then, practice and games will begin very shortly after. Baseball season is always a hectic time of year! He's also in cub scouts -- we meet every other Sunday afternoon. And little Grace just has to go along for the ride. We know that eventually Jeremy and I will have to split up so one takes one kid and the other one takes the other kid to their various activities. She's into EVERYTHING these days. She can now reach the counter in the kitchen so if there's anything up there that looks like it might be edible, she's yanking it down. She's now putting two and three words together in a sentence. One of my favorites... "Where mote?" (for where's the remote?) Haha. Below is a picture of one of her favorite "nack" (snacks) and she's thrilled to be able to eat it this way....
