Pumpkin Carving

We had our annual pumpkin carving last night at Memaw & Papa's house. We get all of the grandkids over there to carve pumpkins together. Traditions, traditions....

Grace did NOT like digging out the pumpkin.

Evan in deep concentration

Left to right -- Ronald's pumpkin, Kenzie's pumpkin, Our pumpkin, Bre's pumpkin, Amy's pumpkin
Poor Peri's didn't show up because her's wasn't carved. She stuck Potato Head pieces in it instead.

A Few Halloween Festivities

We went to a Halloween party at church on Saturday. Grace was a Texans cheerleader, Evan was a rock star, Jeremy and I went as an old couple.

Grace and I go to story time at the library on Monday mornings. She loves it! Her favorite songs include, 3 Little Monkeys, Itsy Bitsy Spider, I'm a Little Teapot and the Pop the Bubbles song. (Yes, they get to pop bubbles during that song.) She's in her halloween costume in these pictures because they got to trick-or-treat afterward.

E-I-E-I-O

We made a trip to Old MacDonald's Farm today with Marquis, Amy, Bre, Gage, Ronald, Lori, Kenzie and Peri. The kids had a fabulous time and burned off a lot of energy! We'd taken Evan a couple of times before and this was Grace's first trip. Evan always has a great time there and now Grace is a fan as well. We were actually surprised, but she absolutely loved all of the animals. The pony ride and train were a huge hit for both of them. I had a hard time narrowing down which pictures to post, but here's a few.

A Sigh of Relief

I went to MD Anderson earlier this week for my follow-up testing. Boy, do I love those milkshakes!! (Totally sarcastic incase you were wondering.) I saw my doctor yesterday for the results and everything looks good. Now, I get to go every 4 months instead of every 3 -- yea!!

Also, I have to share this picture of Grace. I know it's really not very attractive and you can see her boo boo under her nose from the night before's baseball game, but look closely! She finally has 4 teeth!! She's had her bottom two teeth for 6 months now and the top two have decided to come through. Don't get me wrong though, her lack of teeth hasn't slowed her down.

Fall Ball Has Started

Evan decided that the spring season was just not enough so he's playing baseball through the fall as well. He loves it. He's pretty good these days -- no strike outs and playing short stop. Oh, and Grace has become quite the cheerleader yelling his name from the stands and clapping her hands.

The Children's Museum

I took the kids to the Children's Museum right before Evan went back to school from the hurricane. Evan always loves to visit the museums. This was the first trip for Grace and she loved it, especially the toddler area! Here are a few pictures from our visit.

Welcome!

Well, Jeremy and I have decided to move up in the world of technology. We thought starting to blog would be a way to keep friends and family up-to-date on what's going on in the McLain house. (Especially those we unfortunately don't get to see very often.) So here it is! And we will try our very best to update frequently.
